All season cool climate vegetable growing
This course is designed for people on small or micro farms who are homesteading; interested in self sufficiency; and or local food production and living in areas where overnight winter temperatures are often below zero with a winter frost season.

Basic Organic Animal Husbandry
This workshop is designed to introduce you to basic animal husbandry practices particularly humane handling and animal welfare, on a small scale - especially suitable for spaces under 1 hectare. The day primarily focuses on how to care for, feed and manage poultry (ducks, chooks and turkeys) and other livestock so that they provide you and your family with the most delicious meat and eggs. Key issues around the slaughter of livestock will be discussed including to slaughter on the farm or not. Important but often vexing topics such as state and federal legislation relating to keeping and slaughtering livestock are fully explained giving a head start to complying with current livestock practices and standards.
