Gowing Garlic for profit: Turban's and other Garlic Groups (offered in Bathurst NSW)
Sunday, Day long 25th March,
TIME: 9.30am – 3.30pm
Garlic is well suited to growing as a small or micro commercial crop. Its small footprint, excellent capacity for organic and environmentally beneficial growing methods make it ideal for the small land holder or homesteader as a for profit crop.
The course covers: Selecting & sourcing varieties and suitable seed, soil husbandry and preparation, planting techniques, nurturing your crop, pests and diseases, harvest and drying.
The online course, delivered with Canvas, an online learning environment, is designed so you use the information and resources to inform your garlic growing and ask questions and raise discussions with your facilitator and fellow students as you work through the material. Your facilitator, through your active questioning, will find answers that help you adapt what you learn to your own garlic growing context - soil, micro climate, rainfall and landscape.
