Poultry Nutrition: Making Your Own Waterfowl Ration
Are you concerned about meeting the nutritional needs of your geese and ducks? Both need excellent nutrition to make delicious, nutrient dense eggs or meat. Many poultry keepers rely on pelleted feeds most of which don't meet optimal nutrient requirements. Keepers often find when they feed scratch mixes that birds will ignore many of the grains and seeds use in these mixes. Can we do better? Yes, and for a lower cost too.
This short online course shows you how to make a balanced and highly nutritious feed or ration for your waterfowl cheaply and efficiently. Your fowls get the best feed possible, a mash based on formulea used by farmers for years to make farm based feed rations, prior to processed pelleted feeds, and you get delicious nutrition packed eggs and meat.
We will show you how to simply make your own adult waterfowl mash from easily purchased ingredients at reasonable cost and minimum effort. Our bespoke waterfowl mash only requires ingredients commonly available at Rural or Stock Feed stores.
This mash currently feeds the Cape Barren geese, ducks and swans at the Canberra Zoo.
